Applicant visits the NIS website: www.immigration.gov.ng

• Click e-Passport Application form;
• Select Standard e-Passport as the Passport type and click on Start Application button;
• Fill the Standard e-Passport Application form in all its parts (Note: if you have already applied, only check your application status and avoid filling a duplicate);
• After filling the form: Click the submit button (if the form is returned: check through the form to locate the field(s) marked with red for correction, update and re-submit); immediately after submitting your application, print the form and keep safe the following numbers generated by the system to be used in checking the status of the application: Application Id, Reference No  Then click close ;
• Click the Proceed to online Payments button: select your Payment currency and click on continue;
• Click on Start Payments button;
• Complete your Credit Card details for Payment online and continue;
• Go back to NIS website and check your payment confirmation with the generated Application Id. and Reference No.; when Payment is confirmed, print the Payment confirmed page from the NIS website;
• Attach all printed copies and necessary supporting documents for presentation to the Embassy;
• Send SMS message including all your particulars to 3889789298 to secure an appointment. You will get a reply SMS message with your appointment date within 30 minutes.
